Golf Trip Recs

We've got a group of 12 making our (second) annual golf outing this year.
We've got our sights set on Gulf Shores / Orange Beach and playing a couple of courses there, while of course frequenting Florabama -- but we may be moving off of this idea.
Any suggestions? We'd ideally like a spot that could fit either 6 or 12 people in one or two houses, have a couple of different golf courses, and is generally in the same price range as the Florabama area. We'd also like to keep it between Texas and Florida, but if you've got some good ideas, we'll take them all. We're not opposed to flying -- most of us would need to fly to Gulf Shores.

Bama has great courses that won't break the bank. RTJ has several nice stops.
Biloxi has good quality courses as well. Not sure what is open at this point though.

You could hit Acadia National then Branch Dunes. Craft beers at the Abby after each round

Biloxi is good. They have a bunch of courses, none of them are close to the casinos, but they aren't that far.
GS/OB is probably your best bang for your buck.
Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Bandon, Streamsong are all going to be more expensive, depending on where you are coming from.

Brandon Dunes is the best golf trip I have ever been on. Period! It is golf as it should be.

Both Whistling Straits/Blackwolf and Sand Valley (plus you could swing by Erin Hills on the way to either) are some of the best golf locales in the country, but there ain't shite to do near either of them.

Go make a Old Waverly/Mossy Oak/Dancing Rabbit trip

What about these two options:
Jacksonville and surrounding area
Or
Traverse City MI.
Add this to the list: Fayetteville to Branson area.

If you guys are looking for a bit more of a budget minded trip you shouldn't overlook the Memphis area. There are some pretty good golf courses that aren't too expensive and you have plenty of night entertainment available.
I have made this trip 2 times and I would recommend the following courses.
Kirkwood - Great course (little farther drive)
Mirimichi - Great scenery and fun (little pricier)
Wedgewood - Awesome greens for cheap
Cherokee Valley - Very nice overall course

The preferred location it’s stated as being between Florida and Texas.
What is more important . . . quality of golf or quality of non-golf activities?
Would group prefer a casino or a beach nearby?
Just guys, no family? What is the age range of the group?
What kind of budget?

Dancing Rabbit has some great deals and packages available. Only about an hour and 30 minutes from Waverly.

Tell me more about this trip
I’ll be up there in July, will have time to play 2 rounds. Green fee cost doesn’t matter

I can only speak for Branson- we take a trip there every year.
Buffalo Ridge was a blast for our group. We decided to replay it after our first round we had so much fun.
Top of the Rock is pricey, but a fun to play once. All par 3 course with really cool views/driving range/ and restaurant area to eat afterwards.
Mountain Top is a 13 hole course, fun as well.
Payne's Valley is Tiger's new course up there, haven't played that one yet. Looking forward to getting back to Big Cedar to add this to the rotation.
