Obviously I'm going to hit a bunch of different ones and see what feels best but I'm curious what everyone thinks the best one out there is for under $300.

I have a rocketballz driver so maybe the TM M1 or M2 may feel right for me?

I hit the Ping G400 13 degree yesterday and was very impressed. Launched a lot lower than Ping fairway woods in the past and went pretty far.

I've played a few rounds with last year's M2 3 wood in the bag, and found it to be very forgiving but launched pretty high (not sure what the settings were on it).

I've always played Titleist 3 woods, so I would suggest hitting a few of the 915 models to stay under budget.

Cool thanks

I think I'll want a higher launch but honestly I don't know. I've upgraded all my clubs over the years except my 3 wood is still a crappy tight lies club I got from one of those Academy sets 10 years where the whole set D-PW was like $200.

I actually hit it pretty well

You will like the M2.
It was one of the most forgiving 3 woods I had ever hit and went very straight. I just felt like I hit it too high and was losing a little distance.

In reference to the comparison chart posted above, I will say the EPIC Callaway line out right now is HOT. I have never been a Callaway fan, but the stock EPIC Jailbreak driver or whatever it is, was consistently 8 yards further than the M2, Titleist 917, and Ping G400 for me. So I'd imagine the 3 wood goes.

If wife is paying for it, hit em all!

And I'd try the used rack and then upgrade somewheres else with the difference.

+1 on the G400. Solid stick

I just bought the 2017 M2 15° 3 Wood with the REAX 65 xflex. I love hitting it so far, the ball jumps off the face of the club.

I've got the 2016 M2 15* and I love how accurate I can be with it. Super forgiving.

The original Tour Edge Exotics is still the best 3w.

Taylor Made R7 3 Wood - find one on EBay

Or

Any Titleist 3 wood

Both are solid clubs that are not "springy" and don't launch it into the stratosphere.

The TM R7 is the only club Injave ever had true command over in 40 years of golf. She may snap hook to the left once in a while but most times she is solid.

I got the GX7, 14 degree, Regular Flex, advertised on Golf Channel, 60 day money back no questions asked. I can hit the driver 240+ (Cobra FLy-
z), the 5 wood (Callaway War Bird) 200 but not an inch further, could not hit my 2 or 3 wood any further than the 5 wood, both Callaways.

I hit the GX7 225, exactly what I was looking for, with good direction. Good for doglegs and fairways though they tout it as a driver as well.

Bottom line $199, if you don't like it send it back. I have two buds who got it also, one, like me kept it, the other sent it back, money returned pronto, no questions.
