Favorite public courses in DFW area

There's a bunch, I generally play these 4:
-Luna Vista (formerly LB Houston)
-Cedar Crest
-Stevens Park
- Tennison Highlands
They are all within 30 minutes from my house and decent courses, what other good public courses are out there?

Used to play here after work all the time and is a great value for the course. Was usually the only white guy out there. It's short but usually in decent shape and had cheap beer buckets.
I'd add Firewheel in Garland and Sherrill Park to the list

You can get this for like $17 on Golfnow, or could last summer. For that price IMO it's a steal. Every time I played the conditions were good. It's a short old school track, but for an after work round or something for that price, I highly recommend.

Tennison Highlands, Pecan Hollow, Bear Creek
Also liked the Tribute.
Bear Creek was in a bit of rough shape last time I played it.

I know it has nothing to do with the question, but I'm playing Lakewood next week. Looking forward to it.

Not much experience, but the Grapevine course was decent

Also a course in Grand Prairie by DBU. The name right now is escaping me, maybe Prairie Lakes? Anyway I liked it and you can get good deals on it as well. 27 hole course and they'll send you off 2 nines depending on the day.

They have 2 in Grande Prairie, Prairie Lakes and I forgot the name of the other one but it has 3 9's

Riverside is the other one in Grand Prairie up on 360

The Tribute and Tour 18 are both really cool.
Grapevine Muni is nice for the money.
Cowboys was nice but pricey as hell.
Texas Star in Euless is another good one.

Is Tour 18 in decent shape? Buddy of mine told me a few months ago it was in shitty condition

Cedar crest is my favorite.
Luna Vista is a fun old track that makes you work the ball both ways
Keeton looks pretty good, too after renovations.
Stevens is great for walking and a quick round, great for dialing in short clubs and an equalizer if you're a short hitter. I only use driver 5 times max out there.
Country view is my home course. Holler if you want to play and I'll set something up. It's not the best but it's good enough and I know everybody there.
Tenison Highlands if I want to overpay for a round. Which I do from time to time.

Ok so you're not too far from anything. Playing ridgeview ranch this weekend for the first time, supposed to be a decent track.

I really enjoyed Stevens Park and the Tribute

I'm playing there tomorrow morning. Are you playing in the old Frisco Lakes skins game?
