I googled Nike Golf and all I can seem to find is apparel.

No clubs, no balls.

When did this happen?

Last year they called it quits. Clothing and shoes only. You haven't noticed all the guys on tour wearing Nike but gaming other brand clubs?

Just to let you know, the Patriots ended up coming back and beating the Falcons.

I've only recently moved to a location that allows me to get back into golf after a 20 yr hiatus from anything other than a round a year or so. I haven't watched the tour in a while..

No, they've ruined enough pros with their equipment so have decided to stick to good looking outfits.

Yeah, honestly wouldn't expect most occasional golfers to have known that. You can still find some good deals on leftover Nike equipment...getting tougher though.

There just wasn't enough money in the equipment side for them to keep at it. Taylormade is struggling too, Adidas just offloaded Taylormade/Adams for an incredibly low amount.

They closed up shop right after launching possibly their best line of clubs to date. I am bagging the Nike Flex 440 driver and its incredible. Feels like the old persimmon drivers but alot more forgiving.

Nike never had one profitable year from their golf equipment. I believe they were operating at losses between 15-20 million each year due to r&d costs.

Speaking of, how in the heck is PXG going to stay afloat?

Probably institute some payment plan similar to what Taylormade is doing. Clearly exploiting the poor assistant pros and guys on the low level mini tours that make 25k a year, looking for that new club to propel a break through.

I saw my first one last Friday in real life, and it was a putter.

That's interesting, because none of the PXG sponsored tour players use PXG putters.
