Setting up an annual golf trip for this upcoming year and looks like we're zero-ing in on Colorado. Any recs? We're looking for a place where we could house 10-12 guys, play some golf in nearby areas (within 30min-1.5hr drive), nearby restaurants/bars, etc.

Would love recs on areas and courses. Golf board always comes in big time with the recs.

We did a trip with 8 guys in Breckinridge last August. Played Keystone and Breck GC. Both courses were fantastic. Plenty of bars, breweries, etc in town.
Everyone had an awesome time

Spent a week in Durango, Co. in July. Stayed at Tamarron which is located in the Glacier Club about 20 minutes north of Durango off 550. They have two courses of which only one is available for guests (Valley), the other private (Mountain). Then there's Dalton Ranch which is just south on 550 back towards Durango. Hillcrest in Durango, Pinon Hills G.C. in Farmington, N.M. about an hour south of Durango and Conquistador G.C. in Cortez, Co about 45 minutes west of Durango. The Valley at Glacier and Dalton's Ranch are a little pricey, but fantastic. Didn't play Hillcrest in Durango, seems like a decent muni. Conquistador was nice and much cheaper and Pinon Hills in N.Mexico is one of Golf Digest best muni to play but was under a little reno and at the time I played had a tournament going on and was really crowded, but nice and reasonable. All I got.

Wherever you play, MHD shot 10 strokes better than you.

Keystone has 2 courses, River and Ranch. They’re both nice courses; I prefer River course. You can stay in Dillon area. Close enough to Breck to go eat/drink there.

Redlands Mesa in Grand Junction (Western Slope) is a great course.

Played the River Course in Keystone. Views were incredible. Felt like I needed to take a picture on every hole.

Golf course as you drive in to Beaver Creek from Vail looks great but I haven't played it.

I played Sonnenalp twice and Beaver Creek once.
I loved both courses . It's not cheap but I knew that going in. Perfect weather and stayed in Vail Village.

Copper Mountain’s course has the highest tee box in North America. Decent shape, fun to play. Near Vail.

Durango golf is maybe the best golf in the state.

Glacier
Dalton
Hillcrest
Piñon

That’s a hell of a tough 4 to beat for the price
