Looks like they are the new style. I guess whenever they changed the Lamkin writing on the grip from gold cursive to black print, that's when the cord changed. In my opinion they are rougher than the z cord, but not by much.

I guess I'll make do with the Z Cords. I have them on my 3 wood and driver right now. I just wanted a cordier cord.
