I played the front 9 holes there a few years ago and then they shut the course down because of the heat.

I think the rental car thermometer said 118 when we were leaving.

It's a pretty neat place, and definitely different than anything else I've played. Lots of elevation change and the holes are cut into rock canyons.

I've played it 5 or 6 times and really enjoyed it. It's a much easier course after one or two times around so if you're playing with someone that has played it before follow their lead.

ETA: Don't expect any wayward shots to rebound off the canyon walls and kick back towards the fairway.

I've played a handful of times. It's like video game golf on some of the more dramatic holes. Put a good swing on it and have fun following the flight. Don't step off the side of a tee box though

Beautiful course. Was in excellent condition when I played a few years ago.

Played it 4 times; it is tricked up. I'm a low handicap and its beautiful but tough. Looks appealing off the tee box but all the elevation changes make it tough. It is so vast being in the plateaus it is hard to pick the right club. The last time we played had a group of 24, couple of scratch players, no one broke 78. It is a test but will be enjoyable with al the scenic views.

I'm told to definitely have an illegal range finder that measures slope.
