Anybody here played the course at Angola Prison?

I believe it’s called Prison View Golf Course. I heard about it in ESPN magazine probably when I was at LSU about 15 years ago. I’m sure it is a pasture, but I always like to play different places.
There’s not a whole lot of info about it when I research. Pre pandemic I think it was open to the public, but you had to clear a background check first

I played it around 2016 with 2 friends. We were invited on a private tour given by an Asst Warden. We ate lunch in the Warden’s Cabin by the lake. Had catfish they caught.
Walked death Row. Saw DTL and Gillis (?). Best memories were with Dr Cannon. Sat in his office and visited for an hour due to our shared vocations. As a matter of fact, he convinced me to donate chairs to him when I remodeled my office.
Golf course was 9 holes from 2 different tees. We only played 9. Think I shot 41. Course was on par with most small munis

They still have a contact number on the prison website. It looks like a general phone number though. I may give it a ring tomorrow and find out.
