Alexandria City Match-Play

I saw a Facebook post by Links on the Bayou that their champion of the city match-play championship gets an exemption into the Adams Pro Tour event next year.
Is this a common thing for places that host these mini-tour events?
Did any of you fellas play in this thing?
I see it was $125 to get in with a guaranteed two rounds... Friday for flighting and match-play started Saturday.
Sidenote- I see in another one of their posts from this morning that they are punching greens today... guess it will be a few weeks before I drive up to play there.

The Adams event is at Links on the Bayou next year so I'm assuming why there is an exemption. I wouldnt say it's common, but it's similar to a sponsors exemption.

They moved it from Oakwing? They'll be some sub 60 s in that trny. They tore up Oakwing, so they will smoke links.

At least two new tee boxes are coming to The Links. 2 will be lengthened, and I forget which other one. Not that that will do a great deal, but at least they are trying.

Zach wright played in that adams tournament last year.

First 2 rounds use OW and Links. After the 36 hole cut, rounds 3 and 4 are at OW. Allows for a larger field.
