Anything significant thus far? Bout to go purchase one and want to know if anyone has had any problems like when the xbox came on the scene. RROD, overheating, voice controls, etc. GameStop just got a shipment in and I am headed that way.

Got mine for Xmas, no problems at all. I'm very happy with it. If you happen to get the rare bad one, you're good as long as you return it soon after.

The one I ordered from Amazon at launch had a defunct disk drive. The replacement they sent me was OK but the kinect just stopped working.

Really? Wow, that sucks. What's wrong with the Kinect?

I was a play station guy and just got one to try something new. I have had no issues so far and like it a lot.

I haven't used a remote in about 3 weeks. I love the entertainment system integration.

I guess it's dead. It's plugged in but the dashboard reads that it is not and it won't power on.

So you can link all your Direct TV and netflix to it?

I still get kicked out of games to the home screen. Other than that, I don't like the installing and patching as it takes forever even on a respectable connection. I play casually and have very limited time. The installs really cut into that.

But once you install, that's it right?

Correct it's beautiful.

Then you can also do the following

"Xbox go to Internet explorer"
"Xbox Select"
"Browse to Tigerdroppings.com"
"Click on gaming board"
"Click on Xbox one issues?"

Can also change your tv volume by
"Xbox volume up/down"

Pretty much but that is where the patches get in the way. You'll sit down to play and then you have one of those to wait a good while to download. I've had a few already. I understand it is a launch console but geez. Patching might be one of the worst things to happen to gaming imo.

I enabled passive downloading so I only have to install patches when I want to play because the patch was downloaded throughout the day without the One being on.

I must have done this too, even though I don't remember doing it. I don't think I've had to wait for anything to download since downloading my games.

I was just hesitant until all the bugs got worked out. I figured after the Christmas boom, they would patch and update things. Just want to make sure it's all in order before I spend 500 bucks lol. I do like the Ghost trade in coupon though.

BF4 is the only game that gives me problems and crashes to the home screen
the party system is weird
the games take a long time to download but that's on both systems

some people say the kenect doesn't work but you have to know what to say and speak to hear sweetly and she will listen

I got a Day One edition and it's worked great, FWIW. There isn't any major RROD issue like there was with t360, but there are a few dud consoles out there for both Sony and MS.
