xbox 360 support?

So, not into gaming. Bought an xbox 360 for son for xmas. Didn't realize it was phased, phasing out. Basically, should I return it or sell it and replace with an xbox one? What does phasing out mean? No new games, but old games should continue to be available on the market? Discounted price?

Upgrade to an xbox one. Most of the 360 games will still work on it. Your son's friends will make fun of him for not having the newest system.

He is right though. Xbox One was released in November of 2013.

Best thing to do is return it and get a X1, because your ROI will be better. Keeping the 360 will probably be OK assuming you paid less than $100 for it.
