Just got my Xbone, so can't help you too much. I remember Battelfield 3 was great fun on 360 and I never really understood all the complaints about the multiplayer having tons of problems. Not really a fan of the COD series myself.
Fallout 4 is the only single player game, besides FO3, that I've ever played this much. There's just an endless amount of exploring even without other people playing against you.

Just Cause 3 isn't FPS but it's a very fun game. If you're looking for a FPS I suggest Fallout 4
