WoW Legacy private server - did anyone do this before?

I was playing on the Kronos II private server. pretty fun, but I ended up getting back into Legion when it came out.
Nostalrius had already been shut down once I got into the private emulated servers for WoW.

Yep.
Played on Nostalrius, it was absolutely fantastic.. Stormwind was swamped with people 24/7.
Can't wait for the reboot, probably roll on the fresh pvp one that comes out estimated early Jan. Nostalrius comes back online 12/17.

It's a great idea and concept, but for someone who has invested all the time in effort into my main account, there's no way I would play it full time.
It would be nostalgia to the max to play on those legacy servers though.

you need a specific copy of the game, which they typically can point you towards.

Yah it's a straight download for free.
The community is great, some classes are a little OP.. Just like vanilla.
When nostalrius comes back up, AQ will be close to becoming available.. Obviously the fresh servers that open up only have MC and One.
