I don't really have a specific moment, but i remember a buddy of mine and i, we each ride to gamestop and purchase the game, and then play an annual game on release day to kick of the new season.

oh yeah, i remember when i first got 2005, i played the cpu with 15 min quarters and had the gameplay set to freshman. i racked up 255 points. 255 was actually the maximum. i scored more than that, but it wouldn't go any higher.

i did kick a 90 something field goal one time with the pennants you could unlock on the ps2 versions. that was pretty cool.

That time me and geauxtiger played this game and it went like 10 overtimes. Just over and over, went on forever. I couldn't see straight after a while.

I think we were intentionally keeping it tied. Were having so much fun we didn't want it to end.

Same, back in 03 or 02, Brickthrower and I played until the score was 140something to 137 or something like that.

His mom went to the grocery store and came back, making some remark about us still playing video games. It was literally the same game.

Finally stopped him on fourth and inches at the goal line and kicked a FG to win. He was pissed

I can't remember what year it was but my family would play dynasty mode together with multiple teams. One year we had Louisiana as the most dominate state in football on the cover of Sports Illustrated. LSU, Tulane, Loyola (created them obviously), and UNO (again created).

Score tied.

My cousin was driving for the game winning TD.

He was on the 30yd line and threw a pass that I picked off in the endzone and took the other way for a TD to win.

His controller shattered seconds later.

Back to back undefeated national title seasons in the best/most popular/most competitive 120 team online league they had back in the day.

Funniest story is back in high school, mid to late 90s, the only place to get video games was the mall about an hour away. I call the day it came out, they said they only have 1 left, and it's reserved for someone. A bit later, my buddy calls the shop and says he has the game reserved and wanted to make sure they had it so he could come pick it up, the dude goes back, finds the game reserved, and says, "Are you John Smith?" or whatever the name was. My buddy says, "Yes I am"

An hour later we showed up and got the game. I'm sorry John Smith, I'm so so sorry. But I had to do it.

that it was an hour away and yet you still had time to pull all this off puts the blame on John Smith IMO.

you may or may not know this but "Trindon at DE" was a tiger rant meme for quite awhile after some clown started a thread seriously suggesting it.

Not just that, but it was a school day, so we didn't start this til after school, so it's like 5 or 6pm by the time we got there.

That's on you John Smith, that's on you!!!

NCAA 04 I was Kansas State and my friend was playing with Texas. Went to OT, neither of us could make a stop on defense. He scored first in OT, then I scored to tie it. I went for 2 and converted on the trusty rollout play from the goal line formation for the win.

Played an online dynasty with a friend. Both of us were starting with a 1 star program and building them up. I took Army. First recruiting class, I see a 5'6" RB with A or A+ for spd, acc, and agi. I decided to give it a shot. Spent the max time each week recruiting him and slowly moved up to 3rd on his board. When gave a soft verbal to Texas midseason, I was going to back off. But then I noticed Texas (and all other schools) hadn't actually offered him a scholarship at that point. So I continued to max out recruiting each week and got a commitment from him in the last week of the season. He played and looked like Darren Sproles, and he ended up winning 4 Heismans and 3 NCs.

On like ncaa 2010 I was in an online Dynasty with some friends. We chose like the CUSA(I think). And I was give Tulane. I was much much better than my friends so I usually went on my way to an undefeated season or 1 loss. I played those games way to much.

Anyways one game I was playing my friend who was easily the worst in the league. I usually beat him by 40+. well we were playing in the same house with some friends watching. For the first time he was beating me and no one could believe it. He scored a touchdown with 8 seconds left. It was all but over for me. started at my own 20 with 8 seconds. Threw a deep ball to the 50. timeout. then through a hail mary and caught it as time expired.

We all just dogged the guy for the rest of the night. I miss it

It's not really a moment, but the year they added the "toe'ing down the sideline" animation I fell in love with the series all over again. Watching technology evolve through the capabilities of NCAA football over more than a decade was so awesome. I lost my shite when receivers would actually make efforts to drag a toe on catches near the boundary.
