I had ACL surgery the week NCAA 11 came out and was ranked #2 on the H2H leaderboards for about 3 weeks. The guy ranked #1 had given himself free wins and had about 200 wins the week the game came out, so you could argue I was ranked #1. Other than that, I scrubbed down Barkevious Mingo and Terrance Toliver online with LSU

NCAA 2006 I joined an online league. Apparently everyone in my league were veterans from another bigger league. This was my first league, no one had any idea who I was, they all knew each other.

I picked LSU and I got my arse kicked at first, but I played better towards the end of the season. There was this one guy who everyone hated, and he was undefeated. There was always controversy in his games. Either he complained or the person playing him complained.

At the end of the season we had a tournament. I won the first two games, and then I was playing the dude everyone hated. Everyone picked him to win, he was USC. I beat him 10-6. Everyone in the league was online and checking in on the game hoping I would pull it off.

He ended up complaining about me to the league owner saying I called too many running plays on offense. He kept putting in a dime defense, WTF was I supposed to do? League owner told him to frick off, and we found another player to take his spot. He said only the new guy was able to beat him, and he claimed that's why he was kicked out.

Also in NCAA 2013 I had my best online record with LSU. Something like 42-19. No one knew how to defend me because I actually ran the ball. I had a 20 game winning streak at one point.

See this is what I loved about 06. Arkansas was running with DMC and Felix Jones back then and of course everyone wants to just throw. I'd pick Arkansas and just Wildcat people into the ground.

I went to LSU and A&M, so I'm well aware of the joke.

I'd run a punt return safe for a zone coverage, and bring Trindon off the offenses right side.

Actually a Madden moment but I'll still share cause it's close enough

One time when I was about 14 years old my dad (who was about 40 at the time) had a bunch of younger (25-30) year old friends over and they were predictably cocky and tryin to act like badasses and such and somehow they figured out I played and considered myself pretty good at madden

One of them challenged me to a game and naturally I accepted. My dad and another friend of his that was a little older than him don't have much of a clue about how this whole "video game" things work but they know football and like to gamble so they start betting with the younger guys on the game, my dad and his friend on me and the rest on their buddy

Before long there was over $500 at stake on this game of Madden and my dad had around $250 on the line IIRC.

The other guy played with the eagles and this was like madden 04 back when Vick was so good so I used the falcons

Idk what exactly was going on but somehow at halftime I was down 24-0 or 28-0 and lots of bullshite was flying back and forth between these cocky young guys and my dad and his friend and I'm feeling pretty shitty cause I know I'm better than this and totally blowing it

Anyways somehow or another I came all the way back and won the game (maybe in OT can't recall). I do remember I returned two kickoffs for TDs

It was awesome after all the shite they had talked me storming back and beating him while my dad was in the background laughing his arse off at them saying "I told you so.....I told your dumbasses...the boy can play..." and winning a nice amount of cash

The dudes who were earlier so cocky looked like fools and suddenly had a good bit less cash than they started with and they needed it worse than my dad

One reason I tell this story is my dad passed away sort of suddenly last April and it's one of my favorite memories with him. Good times all around

My brother and I would make dynasties together. We'd also play random exhibition games with lesser rated teams.

One game he had the ball on the 2 yard line down 4, calls a stretch or something to the outside. My LB shifts over and I hit stick him literally inches before the end zone. He fumbles it and I return it for a TD

Another one where he made the MCG against the AI. The user team had won every single game between us in these games due to the insane amount of talent we had from RS. I beat him in a shootout. I knew my only chance was to play loose and try to get turnovers. If I could get him to pass more and look for the big play, I could win. I jumped out to like a 14pt lead. I ended up holding on and won by 3 or so.

Nothing in particular. Just the many head to head games with friends. I was in high school when the series really hit it big so we'd typically play after school every day at someone's house and it never got old.

Challenges, tournaments, smack talk, tears of laughter and hilarity from something remotely impossible happening. I miss those times where we could just get away for a little and get caught up in the pageantry of it

Eta: it was the silliness like Troy vs UAB in the Rose Bowl or Miami vs Arizona State in a heavily snowing battle in the Big House. That was the good stuff

Cutting a 5th year senior because I recruited a freshman that was better than him.

Some of the best times were creating some silly rule like you can only score touchdowns if the play begins outside the 30 yard line. If you take inside the opponents 30 you've gotta kick a field goal.

Or something like you must lateral at some point on every kick off return

Me and my dad were playing NCAA 03 together and my dad was pretty good, and I was really good, well we were having a decent game and then I just started breaking loose and he thought it was hilarious and wanted to see me score 100 points so he helped me in the 4th QT and I scored like 8 TDs in the 4th and we were laughing so hard about it. It was just a good time with the old man and I will never forget it. RIP dad, I keep all of my memories of him the closest. We had some awesome times together

oh also in college we played ncaa 2014 a ton. we'd play where you'd press random team and if you liked the team you could keep it. you got 3 chances. but could not go back to a team you had passed.

was playing a friend and he got Georgia first pick and stayed. I had two horrible first teams and on the last option ended up with New Mexico State who were awful on that game. Ended up running the read option all game and winning by 21+. was a legend

I used to play as Texas back in the early - mid 2000's and I remember that Oklahoma was fricking unstoppable every time I played them. Definitely broke a few controllers

Also I thought it was hilarious in road to the Heisman when you started out with an ugly arse girlfriend picture on your bulletin board and she got hotter as you improved

Do you guys know if the guys that stream NCAA to YouTube monetize those videos? How does that work with the school logos, jerseys and stadiums? Not to mention the updated 2017 rosters.

I guess the same could be asked for Madden.

I'm about as big of a fan of the NCAA series as there is, playing to get atop or near the top of those leaderboards...i'd rather gouge my own eyes out.

1. You're going to play only cheesers when you get into that realm of top ranked players so it's the least enjoyable games you can possibly play

2. Against 90% of them, you simply won't win unless you cheese it up yourself...again there's no enjoyment in that.
