A lot of people swear by Just Cause 2, but I never got big into it. I played the demo and it didn't grab me.

There is also Red Faction Guerrilla which I've heard is hugely underrated but I've never played it. I got it for Steam in a Humble Bundle and plan on playing it one day.

And if you like crude over the top humor, you could give Saint's Row: The Third a look. I've played a few hours of it and it's fun and made me laugh fairly often.

ETA: I wouldn't recommend Saint's Row 4 unless you can play it on PC. I heard it has a terrible frame rate on consoles.

Because he said he likes open world games where he can do random stuff for no reason. I like Mass Effect but that hardly matches what he seems to be looking for.

Tossing out i kind of meant newer games sorry i didn't mention. I played video games with roommate in college cause I was a broke a** and we partied basically in dorms and never went out so had a lot of time. Don't play as much but I've gone through the old games. The ME, Fallouts, DA, Elder Scolls, etc. I meant a newer one cause I haven't really kept up lately. But since GF is not near here right now and I don't know anyone where I live now, I have GOT TO KILL TIME.

Literally this town is the most boring place on Earth. The suicide rate has to be 80 percent.

Third took basically all the awesome mini games from 2 in Saint's row. It was funny as hell but god the game was so cheap. They went for absurdities to cover poor game design, terrible plot, horrible mini games, and just cheesy gameplay. I was disappointed in that game ;/. Just like Fable 3(frick you fable 3)

Just Cause was awesome...like Far cry basically.

Haven't played Guerrilla.
