Not....really. I mean, some people are narrow-mindedly saying "we drafted a backup at #13" and that we have too many tackles, but Peat has been compared to some really great offensive linemen, and people can be shifted around.

I saw the mini melt for Peat, Geaux included. I fell asleep by the 2nd pick so I just looked up who it is. Am I just older or is the draft not as exciting as it used to be?

The Saints Board is kinda annoying. Everyone thinks they are the GM...and I get that's kinda the point of an internet messageboard forum totally dedicated to the Saints, but it feels like the posting over there is just aggravating. I don't go as often as I used to.

The draft and games get bad when the posters who are never there come over and start their doom-and-gloom garbage.
And I find it hilarious how everyone reacts when paddy is brought up. I feel a duty to mention him periodically to keep the engine running.

TV coverage used to be better. I like listening to gruden because he actually knows football but Berman is stupid and Kiper has no credibility.

Dude is passionate about the Saints (annoyingly so at times) and he's a stay at home dad, so he was posting ALL THE TIME. His humor misses on a lot of people, and he was an easy target for some to turn their nose up on. THEN, dummy had to post saying he was leaving the board to focus on his family more, which I think he needed to, but jeez, they ate that up. So now, running joke is "ST killed his marriage".
Paddy was very polarizing, bottom line.

saints needed OL help no question. but a tackle? no. just no. i'm over it though, anthony pick is solid
ETA they destroyed the draft making not a weekend anymore. i used to do nothing but bbq and drink that whole weekend.

I'm going to start a thread on the TV coverage on the MSB. It was flat out atrocious.
@sic, I didn't go over there enough to notice but good for him. He seemed to love the Saints, that much is true. He should come back...time heals.

My dad goes up to Virginia a lot to visit them, and he said there were stretches where he wouldn't ever leave his laptop while the kids were going nuts. Paddy finally got his head on straight and made a choice. Twitter is his new thing now, so I'm not sure he'll come back. It will be fun if he does.
He's moving down to Florida in a few months. Glad for them. Norfolk is a dump.

oh dang, I had talked to him a bit about it, but he never told me he was addicted to THAT extent... yikes, good for him for moving on.
