Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam thinks that people who use a heavy amount of broadband should have to pay more for home Internet access according to IDG News Service.

This is my favorite quote.

If this his argument, then should the people who barely use it pay less? A little old lady playing solitaire and checking her emails doesn't take up much, yet is still paying the shitty minimums.

You wonder why some people don't like you here.

Can't even take a compliment.

For one you can write your reps and also hope that the new rules the FCC is writing to bring back net neutrality actually stick this time.

There was a big online event last week I think it was, and many sites had it pop up to email your rep a pre-written email.

I used 5 different emails to spam that bastard.

I will never understand why we allow these damn ISP monopolies to control everything and basically force tiny providers out of the market

b/c said companies buy off politicians to have those monopolies.

it was only made worse by Citizens United ruling b/c now they don't even have to be sneaky about their payoffs.

you can damn well bet any person involved in aiding local monopoly to an ISP/Cable provider was given a handsome "donation" to do so.
