I had lost a lot of respect for Gamespot over the last several years but this "The Point" series is pretty great, especially this piece on Iwata.
Thanks for sharing it.

VanOrd is leaving as editor. Whether that is a good thing or not who knows.

"Gamers should understand that risk is to be celebrated, and that developers should understand that success should not be celebrated on spreadsheets, but on the faces of those who play their games."
Very well said, and I think something Iwata would be proud to have as his legacy. This guy should be much more celebrated on this board than he was, and I find it sad that the general gamer does not understand how big of an impact he had on gaming in general.

I've noticed. I think part of it is he didn't get in the spotlight much. He is not as famous as some of the people that worked for him. His impact can not be overstated though. I I've found his passing to be very sad.
