I'm only answering this because I have faith you'll be the newest member of the TigerDroppings ClubHouse next week, right?
I can't sit here and say the game has been completely overhauled, but there has been quite a change in swing mechanics. Which makes the learning curve steeper and requires more experience and skill.
Putting/Chipping/Pitching are now very difficult.

I agree. I've gotten a birdie and two pars, but I can't make a putt outside of 3 or 4 feet without seeing the slope

You can see actual gametags of club members on the clubhouse members tab too. From their view their gamer card and send friend request. Tad bit easier.

ahh I'm 7 under through ten but completely forgot about the putt preview I just missed a couple putts that I probably wouldn't have if I knew the break

Swing Mechanics are completely different. Involves shot momentum. A whole lot more science and skill. last year you could basically see the % of power you needed to use to hit the ball X amount of yards, rare back and time your swing to match the percentage. This year no percentages. No boost. All about swing momentum(speed/overswing/underswing). Also, you can change your stance in relation to the ball, change your stance to open or closed to fade or draw, and place a shot marker on where you want to strike the ball.
ClubHouse feature is basically the ringer for me. Create a clubhouse. Give it a name. Create a logo. Invite your friends. Earn coins and XP for completing objectives collectively and by youself. Club stat leaderboad. You can create club tournaments. You can compete 4v4 against other clubs. fricking Pimp.
everything Da Clan setup last year thru TD is automatic this year.
Ability to play with the Kinect. Haven't used the feature myself, but plan to this weekend. Seems like it would be hard to do and clunky, but from what i've seen on videos they've got the mechanics down to a science. Everything from swing speed, hip movement, stance, and hand placement. Pretty incredible.
Pretty interesting Tiger Moments. Going back to when he was a toddler and shooting out of his sandbox into the pool to his TV debut when he was 2. Progresses to his kid years, teenage years, amateur years, and professional career. Pretty cool.
