Sounds near-perfect. But a pox on these reviewers who forgot how they rated Twilight Princess. Because they rated it a great game too.

Damn it Carson, you told me to order with confidence!

I read through that gamefaqs thread and it looks like mine was for sure delayed so I went ahead and canceled and then preordered with bestbuy for Friday store pick up.

Not sure everyone saw the screen capture someone posted about Amazon having to cancel pre-orders on the Master Sword edition and giving people a $10 for their troubles. I guarantee this is Nintendo playing with the appearance of demand. As delusional as I think they can be, they HAVE to know how high of a demand this game will be, and I don't see what purpose it serves to under produce in the initial launch window.

I feel this way too. I have the confirmed pre-order with in store pick up at Best Buy, it clearly says available 3/3, but I just have a weird feeling I'm going to take an L on it.

Yea, this is very strange. I will never understand.

I was thinking they may possibly not produce enough Wii U versions to increase sales of the Switch. But with their lack of Switches available that doesn't add up either.

check out this spicy edgelord from ps4 shill site "dualshockers"

quote:

"I played Zelda on both Switch and Wii U several times, and extensively.

Truth is, it looks extremely antiquated, low resolution shows both in models and textures, effects are poor, and make textures and environments look even flatter. and when played on a TV frame rate is really bad due to the hardware struggling with the higher resolution. On top of that, the lack of hardware resources is also felt in gameplay elements, like AI for instance.

Simply enough, after playing today's best open world games, playing Zelda feels like a massive step back in basically every aspect.

After playing Horizon: Zero Dawn, Zelda feels extremely antiquated. Many will ignore it because it's named Zelda, and nostalgia will put some super-thick rose-tinted glasses on their nose, but that's simply how it is.

And yes, while Pine isn't even a super-advanced game, there are multiple aspects of its visual presentation that easily surpass Zelda, which is fairly sad, considering the massive difference in budget and resources.

Not everyone will give Zelda a pass because it's Zelda."

This is a site that gave Horizon a perfect score and No Man's Sky and The Order an 8.5. I don't know why Nintendo gave this company a review copy but it will be factored into the metacritic score.

From what I've read so far, not the worst thing.

And from an outsiders perspective, without playing either open world adventure game, a comparison between Horizon and BotW is going to be tough, with Zelda's only true edge being that it's Zelda. This isn't the first time it's been done, but it's the first time Zelda has done it, and that has added extra hype.

I honestly wouldn't try to compare the two for a bunch of reasons, and both are probably amazing on their own merits.

How hard is it to do the amazon wii u trade in? How much did they give for it? I don't have original box, and do they take pro ocntrollers?

They probably will be compared a lot having bows/arrows and climbing towers for the map AC style.

Honestly that's the first review I've heard dissing the graphic aspect of the game. I mean its clear this won't be 4k level but every stream I've seen so far has looked really nice so far.

Really hate that Amazon doesn't have physical copies and can't take advantage of their usual 20% games for prime.

full map revealed

quote:

there are a couple details that gamers can extract from the map as shown. The first is that there will be plenty of diversity in the environment for players to explore and enjoy. The layout is fairly symmetrical, with the higher elevation areas located on the outer four corners of the map.

quote:

Another deduction gamers can make about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild map is that the size mentioned by developers is accurate. As one gamer points out in a Gamefaqs thread, the whole map consists of 120 grid squares (12 by 10 grid). The playable area is roughly 80 full squares since some of the outer areas are inaccessible. The Great Plateau is a little less than one grid square, making it somewhere between one and one-and-a-half percent of the map.
