Passed out before it went live last night, but I played some around 5 this morning and did the 3 beginning missing for all 3 wings. I didn't have any problems with connecting with randoms on the multi-player search.
I can't wait to get home and get back at it.
Also if any of y'all have a uplay account, you can but a few things for the game(if you have upoints). They have a couple of outfits, dark zone keys, and a gun shader. I was rocking the broker outfit this morning

So I saw on a video that they have microtransactions...like, you can get a USMC outfit kit for your character.
I will make it feel like Battlefield or else.

It means it will be more about load out, strategy, and level than your skill with a controller.

Yes but I want to make sure when he hears support he doesn't think of crafter/miner classes in RPGS. Everything is combat. The support people mentioned is how you can equip heal skills or equip tank like skills.

Got to level 7. Just from playing the Beta, I know that I will basically want to reach level 30 as fast as possible before I venture into the dark zone. Also, when starting off, save your credits and just deconstruct all the extra stuff you don't need. Obviously deconstructing is going to come in handy more so when you get into the blue weapons as it should be rather difficult to get purple/yellow, but deconstructing allows you to craft things. You can even trade up your parts, so if you have an insane amount of green items, you can exchange those for blue parts, etc.

left on Dpad (if you have any), then R2 to bring up the aim arc, i believe. you can figure it out from there

Also, if you didn't love Destiny's gameplay mechanics, you still may love this game, because they're not particularly similar.

Thanks, I think my issue was letting go of the d pad button.

holding the D-Pad will actually let you cycle through your available grenades with the left thumbstick. Likewise, I think it's up on the D-Pad and you can cycle through your available ammo types
