I always do the same thing when I start a new world.
Run far from spawn or go to (0,0)
Dig down to diamond level and just dig tunnels
I haven't made a house or anything yet.
I do have a few saddels though that I found in the Nether if I make it out if anyone needs one

That's crazy.
Still, you didn't really answer how you got to the nether. I've built the portal before and it usually isn't something that you can just build ASAP in a world. Do you come across one already built? I also thought you still had to have a Nekker eye.
PSA: I've only gone in once, did it when a friend and I use to play like 8 hours a day one summer back in college so pardon me if I'm just an idiot

I think you are thinking of ender eyes which you use to get to the end. That takes forever to do. You have to collect the eyes and find the portal.
The Nether is different you just need 10 pieces of obsidian outlining a 2x3 area and activate it by lightning if with flint and steel. I just made a portal and when in.
I did die but put my stuff in a chest before I did to go back for it

A nekkar eye is something in the Witcher 3. So that's that lol..
And okay, yeah you're right. Obsidian is super easy to make.

that was happening to me at first
fixed it by hard reseting my console and going into xbox.com to make sure I was friends with minecrafthawg

Got 3 diamonds tonight 
Found them in an elaborate cave system at level 12 down the community house mineshaft. Lots more to explore in those caves, maybe do that tomorrow.

Spawn coordinates are
X: 34
Y: 72
Z: 276
Or at least that's the coordinates to where I'm standing in the community house.

No, never are around at the same time. I don't think its going to work though. I can't join and I don't think it will let me in if he sends an invite. I found an article that says its suppose to work, but nothing of people actually doing it.
