Starfield Gaming Laptop Recommendations?

Gonna be playing Starfield primarily on Xbox, but I live in a house with two other gamers.
Considering a gaming laptop, but the choices between CPUs, RAM configs, and video cards are just overwhelming.
I’m no OT Baller, so $1200 is my max budget.
Anybody have any recommendations?
Here are the game specs (if y’all don’t have them memorized) ;-)
Minimum specs
OS: Windows 10 version 22H2 (10.0.19045)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 125 GB available space
Additional Notes: SSD Required
Recommended specs
OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Intel i5-10600K
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 125 GB available space
Additional Notes: SSD Required

I feel like this is a pretty good deal for right at your budget
Just a quick look though. I would keep an eye on slickdeals sales

MSI - Stealth 14" 165hz FHD+ Gaming Laptop
This one is out of your budget but I recently purchased and really happy with it. Smaller screen (14"), but lightweight and very portable. I run an HDMI to a larger monitor when I have it home, or I could run it to my big screen as well.

It was on sale for $1,199 so it looks like you missed the sale
Edit: Any reason why you want a laptop over a desktop?

Portability, mainly. I want to be able play Starfield from my couch or bedroom when one of my kids kicks me off the Xbox.

Great suggestions! Thank you!

Looks like a great machine. Maybe I can sell some blood or plasma for that extra $400

Ahh, I see. A whole lot better experience with desktop is why he was asking.
A lappy will barely get you over the minimum. A desktop will easily get you over recommended. For the price point that is.

Or you could go into debt for it like a real American.

I hear you.
Been working hard to avoid that.
But I’ll keep it in mind!

Absolutely don't do that
The one that hoojy linked looks to be the way to go, honestly. Looks to have the same GPU I have in mine.

I just checked microcenter and from what I saw, every new gaming laptop in the $1000-1200 price range has a 4060 and 16gb of ram. Starfield will definitely be playable, but you might have to turn down some texture settings, and the laptops capability to play triple AAA will be hampered by only having 8gb of vram… not very future proof.
Edit: I stand corrected LINK
This comes with a 3070ti for under $1200, but it still only has 8gb of vram.

Ya, you're not gonna get more than 8gb of vram for op's budget on a lappy. At least not on a crazy deal.
Did find one with a 4070mobile in his budget tho.

Yea, that’s probably the best laptop for the OP’s budget.
