GTA 4

ETA: I simply never cared about the main protaganist. Didn't finish the gamr because I didn't care what happened to him. Have loved every other GTA.

Can't speak for the second one, but the first one was what I think I expected Uncharted to be. Fun to play.

Depends on who in this thread. Some people are saying good game suck. Some are saying they didn't like a good game that others like so they recognize it's still good. My comment to you comes from always bashing tomb raider, not really just this thread.

As for me, I loved the reboot and haven't played rise yet. I just think it's funny the praise it gets everywhere but you bash it every chance.

Because I really think the only reason it gets a lot of praise is for a female lead and good graphics. Rise is honestly the most forgettable experience I have played this generation. Way too much filler tieing the game down and a perfect example of a jack of all trades master of none, it takes lot's of concepts from other games and just half assed them. Plus IMO the story is terrible and the game has no challenge.

The original reboot was more enjoyable because they kept it simple, I think it's the better game and for some reason the gameplay felt tighter.

N64 Smash Bros tourneys with the neighborhood kids (trailer park for the bama baws) made some great memories.

Me and my friends played the good games.

SSB is a button mashing mess and I could never see the appeal.

I can't argue the merits of the game. I can only argue the narrative and I haven't gotten the impression about a female character at all.

It was a staple of most childhoods. Smash Bros is a good game. Terrible games, for the most part, do not become staples of a generation.

Edt: Did you Mario Party during that gen? Now that is an example of a beloved "bad" game. Love it and still play it to this day. Mostly the GC MP5-MP6, but those games can bust up relationships.

I won't say it was terrible. I know people love those games. But from the first tube I tried it, just never liked it. At all.

Again, overrated isn't a hard metric. Still based on opinion. I don't think those games are as great as people make them out to be, hence overrated.

Played Mario Party maybe once.
