I knew it was 5 years or so prior. They need quite a few years like that to make up for what they have lost.
Selling some of their larger real estate holdings and consolidating helped them out a lot last year.

I mean, I could easily say the fact that Nintendo stock was what benefited from Sony's reveal spoke a lot about how crappy that system looked, but as to my previous point, it's all reactionary and means nothing.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Sony Corporation (NYSE:SNE) is trading at unusually high volume Tuesday with 7.9 million shares changing hands. It is currently at 2.1 times its average daily volume and trading up $1.08 (+5.1%) at $22.04 as of 1:20 p.m. ET.
So it was already moving just a mere 20 minutes into the Xbox announcement despite the Gaming sites reporting that it was after and due to the Xbox announcement. LULZ!
Like I said, it has been moving more than usual since last week when their largest share holder was trying to get them to split the two sides of the business.

You are way out of hog's league when it comes to the English language.. you are speaking in jibberish. He reads at a 1st grade level.. try simplifying it a bit please.

Gaming media trying to interpret the stock market. What could go wrong?

Yea it's laughable and hyperbole on their part to directly tie the price jump to the Xbox reveal. Pretty poor journalim but that's not shocking for gaming media.
If you go and look at the movement today the volume started even before the Xbox reveal.

IGN
Sony’s stock closed today at 22.91 points, nearly two points higher than it was eight hours before. That’s good for a 9.25 percent jump in Sony’s market price, an outrageous jump that many companies would kill for. Then again, with such a low market valuation, such jumps aren’t unheard of for companies in Sony’s position.
Microsoft's stock closed down 0.66 percent, seemingly unaffected one way or another by Xbox One.
Your first instinct might be that this has to do with Xbox One’s reveal, which was light on games and heavy on entertainment. That might be part of it, but as Bloomberg reports, the stock jump seems to have been driven primarily by a rumor we first reported on last week: Sony may be spinning off its entertainment division.
Translation: shut up, piggy.

I would actually gander to say that the "teaser" video from YESTERDAY had more control on their stock price than the xbox one ever will.. that being said, at the end of the day, neither are even a drop in the bucket of what controls the Sony Stock price.

GD I am fricking smart.
I read about this last week and it makes sense to do this. If anything happens they can salvage that side of their business and sell off the assets of the other side.

Was that before or after you became a PC fig?

What kills me about him is he throws out "fanboi" as if he isn't one. The xbox could generate money and blow him from 30 feet across the room, and he would still rip it, praising daddy sony. The guy defines fanboi.

I think Bill Gates fricked his mom and grandma in a 3 way and made him watch.

Still haven't built one yet. I am just really bored with my 360 games and not super impressed with the new console. I may own one down the road but I can't afford both and prefer PC as of now.
