Just finished it, great story but so so game mechanics. might replay in a year or so, after I do Left Behind then Zero Dawn is up next.

Game is way easier with Plus mode since you keep all your upgrades. And now that you have finished. Your first two upgrades should be to Shiv. Makes it tremendously easier to handle Clickers.
I would imagine most folks hit health or gun sway but Shiv makes your life dramatically easier especially the 2nd shiv upgrade. If playing on normal, health isn't even needed.
I finished my playthrough last night too.
I have no problem with the mechanics. If you were bugged by mechanics, you might have some issues with Uncharted 1. My only problem with Last of Us is I didn't get to pull the trigger with Marlene. I used the torch on the doctors to send the fireflies a message to stay the F away.
Judging from the trailer for Part II, I don't think they got the message.

Yeah the story is great. The characters are all great and carry the shtty gameplay.
If it wasn't for the great characters I might feel the same about tLoU as I do UC4.
