So I am playing The Last Us, my first PS4 game

The story is incredible and could be a movie, well the game is half movie. HOLY TURN SPEED BATMAN, a train could make a u-turn faster than this game, from what I am reading it's common with PS games and Naughty Dog is notorious for building in slow turn speed limits.

There's a quick 180 turn move. Can't remember what ya gotta do but it's much much faster than trying to just turn around by looking left or right.

That doesn't help when there are three infected around you. I guess I am just used to fast mouse turn speeds in PC games.

I never really needed it but they showed you how to quick turn at the beginning with Tess right when the Fireflies attacked as you try to get through the first gate.

I know how to do it, I just don't like the mechanic of turning like a 95 year old in a walker, I don't always need to turn 180 degrees, let me turn an look where I want, I don't understand what implemented turn speeds are even designed for anyway, are they using it as a way to make the game harder or is it a hardware limitation of the console. I just don't understand why they would purposely do it.
Kill 5 guys with guns and get 2 bullets, kill 5 infected get 2 bullets (number of bullets is arbitrary) there are some things I just don't get with this game. If not for the story I wouldn't even find it very fun.

It's survival horror. They want you to sneak and not go in guns blazing.

Your character is also 50ish. You can't expect him to have the reflexes and speed of a 25 year old.

If you pick the right upgrades, stealth isn't as important, but the right upgrade isn't obvious on the first play.
The good news for your next few games is that with Uncharted there is an overabundance of ammo and you can skip stealth.

As somebody else said it is a survival horror game, not a third person shooter.
No, not all ps4 games are like this.
Most have settings to increase speed.
With that said having a mouse is easier to control high speed.

The Last of Us' stealth mechanic is cheap and broken. I've never been more frustrated with a "stealth" game.

I'm in the hospital. Hopefully I get a good amount of game left. My wife will game with me and unfortunately there's not many couch co-ops but she likes to just sit and watch bc the story is so good.
