So I built my computer a few weeks back and I have had no problems. The computer runs well, the temps are low, and I can crush some games without a problem.

I have two drives installed. A Samsung Pro SSD as a boot drive and a Seagate Barracuda HDD. The only issue I have had recently is when I enter into the UEFI the screen freezes and I get an "A6" report on my motherboard (ASRock Z87 extreme 6).

According to the ASRock manual, the A6 error means there is a problem "related to IDE or Sata devices." They suggest re-installing IDE and SATA devices.

My question is what is the best way to re-install these things? I really don't want to start all over loading everything. The drivers are up to date for both drives.

Could it be that the SATA controllers are conflicting? I have the following listed under device manager IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers:

ETA: Just needed to update the UEFI....

I will do that... Also, should I unplug the HDD and just leave it unplugged to see if it is that drive?

Okay so when I unplugg both devices I still get the error. When I unplug only the HDD, same problem.

If I uninstall my HDD and SSD through device manager will it format them?
