It's just positively briliant. There's no limit of things to do. If you want the best game you'll ever play, get it. If you've already got it, play it again with emphasis on the sheer intelligence of it's design.

Absolutely love this.

Yeah
Its fun.
Loved the open world
Hated the way it scaled and how easy the best gear was to get

I think it's severely overrated but then again it's not my taste. I won't knock someone for liking it though.

It was designed to appeal to the masses, and it did a great job of that.

Even true hardcore jrpg fiends could find fun in skyrim.

Story kind of sucked but I thought the melee, magic, and environment were all great. each class was fun and each dungeon had its own personality imo

I played the bitch arse console version too. I imagine the modded PC version with ultra graphics is mind blowing

It got much better when they removed the level cap.

I thought it was okay.

Not my style of game really, the combat was so damn boring and awful.

Overrated, but not my taste anyways.

Man, November 2011 was a hella good month

Bf3 had just come out in october
Skyrim came out
Arkham city
And Gears 3 (I think)

Lsu had just won the game of the century

Yeah, November 2011 was legit

Except for the complete lack of a meaningful story or characters, which I rank pretty highly when I evaluate a game.

It all depends on how you play, and when you get the things that break the game.

I had a ton of fun when my character was a wuss, and I couldn't win an open confrontation with a Bandit Chief at level 40+.

Once I got my Enchanting, Smithing, Conjuration, and One Handed up to 100 and got the Chaos Enchantment, it was game over. It didn't matter if I had it on Master, most things are going down in less than 2 hits. Hell, I beat the other Dragon Born without even using my sword.

Bro, that movie sucks. Anyways, Skyrim did everything Oblivion did - but better. They both lacked a good story or memorable characters but that has been a hallmark of the ES series.

It's pretty good. When it comes to bethesda games I'm more of a fallout guy (Fallout 3 is my favorite current gen game). I need to pick it up on the pc this summer and see how the mods are.

It's great but given how big the world is, it rings a little hollow. The dragon fights are pretty lame.

Oblivion's story was so much better and the world was just more interesting. The faction missions are what really put it ahead for me. Dark Brotherhood and Thief Guild missions were infinitely better

Yeah, oblivion gates reallllllly take the game down a notch or five for me. Or how about that non interactive final fight!

I'm not a big fan of alduin but he was leagues better than "steal the limelight" Martin Septim.

It has the aspects of MMOs that I like without the nonsense... of... other people. I think it's more fun to play with a little imagination. Maybe that's just me being very liberal with the story, but if you sort of imagine your character's motivations and such, it turns from a game where you can do a lot of things to a game where you want to do a lot of things.

The exact things were said of Oblivion comparing to Morrowind.

Unfortunately that's just the way it goes for The Elder Scrolls. Content is sacrificed for gameplay, all in the spirit of streamlining.
