Haven't really played final Fantasy since the original 7. Is it still turn based combat?

ohhh noooo haha a lot of it now is just you control one character and set you party up to do as you please. They will auto attack, heal, etc.

Have you played the 15 demo? Combat was different yes, but it was really fun.

No, I am somewhat of a turn based purist. I haven't been impressed with SE's attempts to bring free movement to FF in the past. The only SE game with it that I can think of that didn't feel super clunky is KH.

That looks like FFXV with a FFVII skin. That said, I'm excited about it. I may finally play through a Final Fantasy game.

15 has the KH combat feel to it(from the demo at least). It may transfer over to Vll. 12 was the start of that free movement and it was clunky but it has gotten better. Didn't play much 13 as i wasn't feeling the story and characters.

XB1 version of the demo was awful. Game wasn't stable at all on either really, but XB1 version dipped below 20 very often.

Probably PC but no one knows for sure. They keep saying play it first on ps4.

VII is still the absolute best to me. I'll admit though, I stopped at VIII.

I appreciate how easy VII is to pick up and play. Too many JRPGs tend to try to out do one another in terms of convoluted gameplay mechanics.
I enjoy playing the Tales Of games, and I'm pretty sure you can beat the game while only understanding about 30% of the battle system.
