Really pleased with this list. Especially Phantasy Star. Would have liked more of those. They were some of my favorite RPG's. Also would like Sonic 3. But this is the first "classic" system that I'm interested in getting.

I have this pre-ordered, but I think I really just want a Raspberry Pie at this point

Almost every single one of those games are available on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3/360, or the whatever they call it collection of Genesis games on the PC/PS4/Xbox One. Also, where are Streets of Rage 1 and 3?

There are some really good games though like Castlevania, Castle of Illusion, Earthworm Jim, and Strider that as far as I know haven't been included in a Genesis compliation before.

That said, I do not understand why Sega keeps putting games like Space Harrier 2 and Virtua Fighter 2 (genesis version) on these things. Is there anyone outside of Brazil who thinks Virtua Fighter 2's Genesis port is a classic?

Yeah, that's hard to swallow. I have emulators at home that I use when I need a nostalgia kick - but I do like the lineup they are using here. Head and shoulders above the PS Classic.

Ecco the Dolphin was the first game I owned for the Sega CD as an 8 year old. Remember being blown away by graphics, but it was so ridiculously hard, haha. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw my phone.

With 42 games it's a little less than $2 per game. You also get two controllers. That really isn't a bad deal at all. I'm assuming it will also be hackable like the SNES classic.

I wish these companies would throw a classic sports game or 2 on these machines. I could play NFL 94 starring Joe Montana all day.

My favorite baseball games on genesis were sports talk baseball and Hardball III. Played the hell out of them.
