I could see what you are saying for sure Guide. I just know from a competitive standpoint, if they want guys to be able to challenge Kronovi, Sad Junior, and Gibbs they needed to add the 3 v 3 ranked mode to allow the other teams to team up together and play against gradually tougher competition as a team. I agree that they need to add the solo queue back to the playlist. It shouldn't be too much of a hassle really.

They just need to get rid of the unranked system. Matching people by levels based on matches played/meaningless points scored is dumb. I mean, I am a Veteran and I definitely have no business getting matched up against some Vets and there are other Vets that have no business getting matched up against me.
Just make everything ranked and add more options like solo standard.

A veteran is a veteran lol. if your aerials are not up to par, just go to the aerial training. Start off on Beginner and get 10/10. Then go up to the next difficulty and get 9/10. Your ultimate goal should be to get at least 7/10 on the hardest difficulty. If you can do that, you will have no problem competing against some of the tougher competition. My struggle is the wall riding to make contact. I can't for the life of be drive up a wall and then jump off and smack a ball.

My aerials are coming along, but that isn't what I am saying with the leveling system. It really just means you have played a lot of matches, doesn't mean you are on anywhere the same level as other veterans. When a bunch of the high level guys switched over to PC, their ranking went up a lot faster than their level title. Kronovi was in the top 10 while still a semi pro most likely. Matching him against other semi pros would be a dumb way to do things when you have a system that tracks your ability much better than a points accrued system.
There really is no point to the unranked system. Now that we have ranked team 3v3, only time I will use it is with friends screwing around on 4v4.

Had a lot of fun with this game. I had a 65% win percentage but then ny two friends and I had a really shitty night and it's below 50% now and I haven't played since lol. I'm gonna have to pick it back up.

I think Kronovi was more the exception instead of the rule. You have to remember, he had been playing SARPBC on PS3 for several years prior to the game coming to PS4. So naturally he will fly through the lowered competition. I think most veterans have a general idea on how to play the game, but everyone has a bad game now and again.

He's not an exception, just a good another good reason why the leveling system makes no sense. You could use anyone.
Let's take a noob for instance. What if he decides to play a few long single player seasons on noob difficulty for some reason and ends up a pro quick.
Plenty of examples out there, very good people who don't play that often and very bad players who play very often.
The leveling system is dumb and pointless, ranking is all we need. Keeps more people playing similar competitors which is good for the game by keeping people interested.

I guess I don't really see the big issue here. If I solo queue a game up of 3 v 3 it's extremely rare that I get matched up with a semi-pro. It's usually Pro or Veteran and everyone seems to be roughly on the same level playing field. Maybe I just haven't had your previous experience so I'm not able to grasp the issue.

It's not a big issue. Just more of a optimization thing I think they should do. Ranking system is just a superior method of matchmaking.
Last night we had 5k people in ranked 3v3 and around 20k in unranked 3v3 for US servers. The game would be better served having everyone in the same 3v3 pools. It would also help keep decent new players from going insane in the early stages of leveling, especially if they don't play often.
In the end all they really need to do for me is bring back solo standard though.
I was really starting to enjoy myself where I was playing with equal level competition learning more advanced stuff. My big problem is I guess I just run into friend teams a lot that have rookie/semi pro players that forces the same unto my team, which was pretty much all of last night. My biggest pet peeve by far is when I setup a beautiful cross and both of my idiot teammates are chasing me/the ball into the corner.

Hart, watched you guys play against knockout. Ya'll did pretty decent against them. They are pretty good. They did very well against untethered, much more a defensive team. What was that long break about? Looked like ya'll are still very ground based for the most part.
Did you watch any of the northernlion shoutcast any? Was pretty legit announcing, camera work needs to get better.
Look like some of the pros are fully steam PC playing now in the tournaments with the room hosting ability. I need to find me a team that is serious about playing to improve my skills, unfortunately all my friends just want to screw around.

Yea, I didn't realize that they are the 4th best team in the standings for the tournament. That's pretty incredible. The long pause was for a few things. Their pings were all sky high which prompted me to see locations of where they were. I saw one dude who had a Dominican Republic Flag, and then another dude had his PSN tied to a link within his ESL profile that when you clicked on it, it took you to uk.playstation.com so I wanted to verify that they were in fact playing legally in the North American Tournament. Not looking for handouts from the tournament, but if Kronovi and those guys can't play in the European tournaments, i'll be damned if I let someone not in North America play in ours!

Northernlion didn't start til the RO32. He did one match each round, but delayed one semi, so they could do both, and the final.

All my whining about levels and they don't mean a damn thing. My entire account got wiped yesterday. Had to start from scratch, lost everything, even all the unlockables. However, when I started playing I wasn't facing rookie or low ranked people at all, I was still being matched against Veteran and Expert people, even in unranked games.
Must have an invisible ranking system server side.

I just got this game a few days ago. It's incredibly fun, and I know I love it because of how pissed I get sometimes
It's interesting to see how some people don't understand the basics of soccer i.e. crossing and finishing, having someone at the goal any time the ball starts going the other way, and so on.
I'm not great yet....still have entire games where I think "man, I really sucked", but I did score 5 goals the last game I played. I turned it off after that....I had to leave on a high note, as addicted as I am

Double jump into the ball on kickoffs. Very effective for keeping the ball out of compromising start positions.

I actually only do that when the starting point is when we are directly in front of the boost. The rest of the time, I actually reverse to the goal and use my aerial skills to defend the goal shot which gives me a wide open rebound goal.

I need to practice defending corner shots off kickoffs. Unless it's right at me, I'm always just a bit too low or too slow to actually hit the ball away. Really sucks when you have a teammate that loads so slow he doesn't go forward at the start of a 2v2.
What rating are you all at so far? I haven't played nearly as much as I've wanted to, but I'm around 870 2s and 760 3s. I still get some absolutely horrid teammates, especially in 3s.

Singles i'm around 700 something. Doubles i'm 1003 I believe.. and 3 v 3 i'm in the high 700's possibly in the 800s. I have quit playing it since Madden came out.I need to get back into it
