That's true. It's still a YEAR away

It's a teaser trailer, I thought it was fine for what it was.

As much as you're going to get this far out.
I mean it should be a teaser then. To call that a trailer is bullshite.
I know Rockstar does their own thing, so I shouldn't be surprised, but at least title it correctly and not call it a trailer.

I only saw it advertised as a trailer. If it was actually announced it was a teaser then I am wrong, but I don't recall see it be called a teaser.

These days those words are interchangeable.

Agreed.
Was that uncle on the back of that wagon?

Electric lines in trailer, seems to point to a sequel rather than prequel.

They had power in the first one

In Revolver? That was a long time ago.

A sequel would be set in the 1920s though, not the old west. That last shot looked like John Marston's hat and duster.

Could still be Jack, but who knows.

It looks like a prequel but Abigail was in Dutch's gang and it didn't look like any of the riders had a womanly shape for what little you see of them. It could predate Abigail in the game. Maybe she's still slut'n it up in a den for Ladies of the Night. I feel if it was a sequel that we would have see a shot of a car in the streets or something more modern.

The rider to the far right looks like a woman. Slimmer waist, bright yellow shirt. Could be her. Biggest tip off to me that it's a prequel is the number of buffalo around that train. In RDR you only had to kill 20 buffalo to hunt them to extinction and there's a hell of a lot more than 20 in that single shot. Plus it wouldn't make thematic sense to make a sequel. The original was all about the death of the Wild West and the end of the outlaw era. It's why Dutch talks about the futility of fighting change but how you can't deny your own nature either. The world Dutch and his gang came up in shaped them but when they no longer had a place in it, they couldn't change their nature and became relics of a bygone era clinging to the only thing they knew. Dutch's death at the end of RDR succinctly closes the book on the story of the pre-modern western frontier. So setting it even further in the future isn't really a possibility. There just wouldn't be anything to do in the setting they've gone with. I'd bet it'll be a prequel following Dutch's gang anywhere from 1893 to 1900.
