Anyone know were I can get a clean copy of this game? Steam used to have it but not anymore.

Origin is the answer.

They actually gave away free copies of it and Yuri's revenge a few months ago.

And if your itching to play online multiplayer go to cncnet. Org. Pretty big community and a lot of fun. Brings me back to my teenager years.

Still one of my favorite games of all-time. I played it online as a wee little kid and got DESTROYED, it's just not a gametype I am good at online.

Same here. I like the idea of building a sprawling base with exxcellent defenses and an offensive unit that could take out the axis powers in a matter of weeks... However when I played people would just build 50 zepplins and destroy me in about 5 minutes

Ya online it's just a game of rush.

That's kind of why I would get tired of it after a while, but I didn't play online too much.

It seemed I always played against a soviet enemy, and just 3-4 minutes in I would have about 10-15 Rhinos in my arse with his War factor just streaming them to my base one after the other.

Game over in 5-6 minutes.

Red Alert isn't a game I play online. I much prefer the story.

It was a really good and challenging story. Tiberian Sun led me to RA2 as a youngster.

Na I was just mentioning my probably 15 minutes of online experience.

I played all my RA2 either in campaign or skirmish.

Awhile back, EA pulled a ton of stuff off of steam for origin. It was out of steam's control. If you bought one of those games on steam while it was purchaseable, you can still download it though.

EA wanted to sell Dragon Age 2's DLC directly through the game instead of through Steam so EA wouldn't have to give a cut of each sale to Valve, but Valve said no.
