Problem is that a lot of those bases at that low trophy level are really really tough.

Gold 1 is perfect for townhall 8, you can find plenty of inactive bases, lots of gold and elixir to be found, I finally maxed my barb king for thall8 so I just dropped out of crystal to finish my upgrades, only have to go back up when I lab finishes and do another round of hogs.
