PS4 GTA 5

Wife and kids got me a PS4 for fathers day. I'm old, I'm late to the game and haven't played since Vice City was released on PS2. Used to play my arse off but I have no clue about these games today other than what my kids tell me. I'm downloading GTA 5 right now. I'm all about just running around wreaking havoc and exploring. Not really into story lines or missions. What are some must haves to make the game more enjoyable? Do I need to buy a money pack or something of the sorts? TIA

Play the story line and follow the Internet's advice about leaving all the Lester missions for last. Play the stick market during the missions and you won't have to worry about money at all while playing single player

This. You can game the stock market during Lester's missions and make bank.

I think the game pretty much forces you to do this if you wanna be able to afford all the properties. It is the only way to make bank in the single player.
