I noticed areas in Houston where the grass along the service roads was weed free and maintained too
I attribute that to demographics though
Houston is a lot bigger than BR obviously, but their design and level of infrastructure blows my mind
I guess it's really the only big city I've done a lot of driving in though
I'm considering the possibility of moving there

quote:Britt's mom was telling me that Kenosha has some groups that will "beautify" the city, too. People volunteer to keep it nice. I think that's outstanding...but it just wasn't in Kenosha. Everything was manicured along the highways. Surely a group of volunteers with full time jobs aren't doing all that. It was businesses that had nice landscaping; malls were nice; everything is just clean.

quote:Houston's infrastructure is incredible, but it has to be. They are always making it bigger. Here, though, we're 30-50 years behind on infrastructure. We're struggling to add a damn lane to an interstate when we should have four in each direction and frontage roads.

Considering is all I'm doing
I could probably transfer there if I asked. I'm pretty sure I could transfer to Freeport outside of Houston tomorrow if I asked
I've begun to remove the P&G glasses over the years. Other than it being a hotspot for my field, BR is shitty

Freeport
Isn't that more towards Galveston? Only asking bc that's where the project I'm working on is located
ETA: Is Houston's infrastructure and design better due to having more area to work with?

How bad is the traffic there now? I have never been in normal rush hour traffic in Houston. It has to be madness.

Houston has a ton of traffic. Makes BR look like a one horse town, but they are pretty efficient at handling it
They have more park and rides, HOV lanes and toll roads. They are way better at moving people

He is probably real. I have a step-relative that shares and comments on the most absurd liberal BS opinion pieces
I would unfriend him but reading his stuff helps me to realize what idiots we have in this country
