Mellow Mushroom is celebrating their 40th anniversary today with 70's pricing...75 cent draft and $2.50 pizza.

I kind of like Mellow Mushroom, honestly. I think they have good pizza and I like their hummus.

You're right, but I'll be at the one in Nola tonight. That's how much I don't want to go to campus.

I'd rather eat on Southern's campus than have to go to NOLA

Dude, the food there though. Everywhere I've eaten there in the last two and a half months has blown my mind.

Doesn't make it worth the drive

I just really don't enjoy going to New Orleans at all

Like what? Unless you are referring to something like Mother's,whatever you can get in NOLA, you can pretty much get in BR.

Now if you were going for the low key whiskey bars, etc. I could understand. There are some nice joints with jazz bands playing to sit back and relax.

You can walk a single block on Magazine Street or St. Charles Avenue and find more non-chain, foodie places than you can find in the entire city of Baton Rouge.

Salu, Rum House, Amici, Blind Pelican, Tacos and Beer, Basin Seafood, Dat Dog, Ancora, Wayfare, High Hat, Marigny Brasserie...that's just the tip of the iceberg. I'm not a reformed Nola lover or anything, but I have to give them all the credick in the world when it comes to all the places to eat. And every single one of them has amazing food. Not only that, but they're always on Groupon or Drink Deck.

Plus, I'm pretty open to any and all kinds of food. I'll try Thai, Vietnamese, Caribbean, Greek, whatever.
