Something is better than nothing. Then you get used to what you put away, then you might even put more away. $400 a month is great for us, it was the same as Emily's car note. We paid that off last February.

I never use my debit card for anything
The things that I do pay out of checking are all controlled by me so I just glance at the balance as I'm doing my online bill pay
I'm constantly movin money between accounts as needed

I've been with this bank for a long time...it was Argent Bank in Thibodaux, which was bought out by Hibernia, which was bought by Capital One.
