This is why i love Directv
i just called them and told them my bill was getting a little to high (all my promotions ended)
and i needed to downgrade my service. Told them i wanted to cancel the movie channels.
The rep said no, i don't want you to do that. How about i give you $30 off your bill for a year and you keep all your channels?
So instead of letting me lose my movie channels to save $40 he lets me keep them and gives me $30 off every month.

I do, it's pretty neat
One shitty thing is that you can only access on demand channels from the dvr
But once you download them you can watch on the other TVs
Eta: you also can't manage recordings from the other boxes

I'm still not used to the channel numbers though, I don't know where to find anything except ESPN and hbo

I havent lost signal since I moved into my new house... had a experienced guy install it.
They guy who came install the dish on my other house was new, and knew next to nothing... I lost signal every time the wind blew slightly less hard than brab at a cheerleading convention
