I didn't realize plasmas gave off more heat. Hell, I can walk by my 42 lcd and feel a good amount of heat coming from it as it is

A large plasma may as well be a space heater.

They use a lot more power too though it's probably negligible on your bill.

7th, this is what to do:

1.) Buy from Amazon. No tax, free shipping.
2.) At 32", 720 vs 1080 P is negligible as is Hz.
3.) Vizio is shite.

if you plan on watching blu-ray / high def video in addition to gaming, recommend the 1080p. if not, 720 is fine. 60hz is also fine for console games IMO.

wal-marks has several options for 32", 1080p, 60hz televisions in your price range. for a $350 invenstment, vizio isn't a bad option. usually the stores have cheaper options that aren't listed on their website as well.
