It kinda is. But it does so many things well, I find that most people who aren't into Japanese things can still enjoy it.

I literally cannot stop playing this game. It's kind of a problem 
It's just so good though. Luckily I don't have too much school shite to worry about till next week
Edit: So yeah... I'm 40.5 hours into the game now... I'm 99.9% sure I haven't even reached the halfway mark yet. That 100 hour thing is no bullshite. And I've done literally zero grinding
I literally can't remember the last time I've burned through a game like this, only stopping to sleep and go pay bills. It wasn't even that bad for Nier when it dropped and I finished it in like 4-5 days
It's just so good though. Luckily I don't have too much school shite to worry about till next week

That's right at the end of a palace. Story starts taking off in a big way and a few significant story reveals happen around then. Gametime wise I was somewhere between 32-34 hours in at that point. I don't remember exactly

Pro-tip: Register your personas before fusing them. Some can be a pain in the arse to find again.

My boy basically made me get it when I picked up my new tv the other night. Very intrigued by it, how is everyone liking it so far and is it too far gone on someone who's never played Persona in their life?

I'll give you the same advice I gave people who were hesistant about Persona 4. It's an extremely well made game with great story, very deep characters, and well designed combat system. With the characters being Japanese teenagers for the most part, there's going to be a lot of Japanese things that you may not be used to. If you can make it through the introduction, and you're not interested in the plot, then it's probably not for you.
Most people get hooked though, even if they don't get or like some of the other things.

I just don't know if I can stomach a game that long
I do enjoy that Digimon Cyber Sleuth game that is sort of similar to Persona.
