Just remember that most babies are born perfectly healthy, and there's still a long list of ailments that are perfectly manageable. My daughter was born with hip dysplasia. Sounds scary, but it involved nothing more than her spending 6 weeks in a harness-like contraption as an infant, and it was completely cured. Now she has asthma (expected, because I had it as a kid too), and that's probably the worst of it. But really, it's just asthma. Just gotta keep a good stock of Albuterol.
