Order 1886 only takes ~6 hours to beat, half of which is cutscenes

Youtuber PlayMeThrough completed Order 1886 and answered questions about the game. No spoilers.
1. Took me a little over 5 hours on my first playthrough (including all cutscenes)
2. Not much replayability. You can't level up any skills or anything and there is no New Game+. And you cannot skip cutscenes either, so it would be the exact same experience I'm afraid. Pretty much the only side thing you can do is looking for collectibles, but that's it. No challenges or whatever.?
3. Well maybe it's 2 hours or 2,5. I didn't measure the time, but the majority of it is cutscenes. So 1,5 hours or 2,5 hours doesn't seem like a big difference either way. Obviously depends on the player. If you really get into finding collectibles I'm sure you can spend much more time with it. Or if you play on hard difficulty (which I wasn't). But my best guess, based on what I have captured it's around 1,5h-2h gameplay and rest was cutscenes. Take the first 4 chapters for example, maybe 35% of that was gameplay. Some chapters consist only of cutscenes. And often times there are these "interactive" cutscenes with QTEs where you need to press some buttons, but I wouldn't count that as gameplay. It's more of an interactive movie to me, which isn't a bad thing. Hence the film stripes. So calm down everyone. Jesus :D?
4. Well sort of... the game doesn't always tell you where to go or what to do exactly. Sometimes you have to figure that out on your own (like moving a cart to climb up to the next area). Or you have to interact with certain objects or need to wait for your teammates to do something. But all in all it doesn't require too much thinking and all objects you can interact with are highlighted when you stand close to them.?

Definitely holding off on getting this game until more reviews come out. Starting to look like a rental.

Is this game out this week?

I just beat it reading your post

This would seem like the perfect candidate for a review embargo.

embargo is up Thursday morning actually so they didn't do anything shady there.

I hear it's about ten, this is from some people on NeoGaf.
This game was always a rental for me or at most a cheap buy. It should be fun for a spin and I hear the guns are pretty awesome, plus it looks really nice.

It's worth noting that this youtuber actually posted his playthrough to back his claim. I haven't watched them though.

No I think you can beat it in six, just don't think most will. Apparently the guy rushed the whole time.
I look at it like TLoU, a lot of people can beat it under 7 hours buy my two times were 14/12 hours.
Just looked and the record is 3 hours and 26 minutes, that's with skipping cutscenes.

I never understood that. It took me about 14-15 like you. Some people said this youtuber didn't speed through but I don't know. Like I said, I didn't watch it.

So most will need 10, I am sick of games that you can beat in under 10 hours. Devs can claim the cost limits them but it's bullshite, when you make a good game that lasts or has replay ability I have put 50+ hours in them.

I agree but I don't think it should apply to all games, one of my favorite games is RE4 and it's around ten hours.
As long as it's good the whole ten hours I don't care, but having said that I'm much more inclined to drop full retail on a game you can't beat under 20 hours.

Yeah I'm with you on that. If it only lasts 10 hours but is a quality 10 hours then I'm fine with it. The question is what reason do I have not to sell it back. Some games have multiplayer to do that. Some games are just worth another play through. Some games do need to consider dropping to $50 though and this may be one of them.

That's the rub. Gamers are getting less and less patient with short games with no replay value. If this is actually what this game is going to be, no way I would ever drop $60 on it.

If you lack content, you better have a great game. Marginal games that are short don't go over well.

I loved the new Wolfenstein game, just wish I didn't spend $60 on it.
Feels like this is sort of the same deal.

No doubt this would be a buy at $30 for me, which may be soon with gamers club at Best Buy.

He didn't if you watch some of it.
Plus it is hard to rush through most of it when over half the game is cut scenes.
