I was surprised Ilorveth (?) wasn't in this one considering the part he had to play in the second. As well as Saskia
Yeah, I played through the game twice and did one version with the Roche path answers and another with Iorveth and Saskia answers. Was disappointed they didn't show up in the game. Particularly after how Letho, Roche, and Ves had cool little roles.
The way Sile shows up is pretty worthless as well, though she was a bitch anyway.
I'm not even sure why they had the question about La Valette in there. I guess maybe his sister treats you differently when you meet her based on that?

SPOILERS AND QUESTION ABOUT MAIN MISSION
So, I'm almost lvl 26 and I'm up to the Isles of Mist mission. I recruited all my people and I am prepared to defend Kaer Morhen.
My question is, how the hell am I going to get up to lvl 30 and beyond? I feel that there is nothing left for me to do except for two witcher quests that I got earlier, lvl 33 and 35. After doing this main quest, do more missions open up?

The story quests near the end of the game throw experience at you.

Yeah, you'll have a few more main missions that will throw a ton of experience at you. The defense mission you are going to do should get you 2 levels by itself. You aren't as close to the end as you think you are at that point. You should be able to hit level 34 at the least.

As stated, the last few missions level you up pretty fast. I went from 28 to 35 pretty quickly at the end.
I just wonder what is the point to the level 40+ gear because I've done every quest and I think I only have a pile of smuggler caches left so not sure how to level up higher.

Yeah, the no level cap is baffling. I finished every side quest and contract and main story and ended at level 35. Seems like it would be MMORPG-type grinding to level up to the 40s at this point, with no incentive to do so.
Maybe if we get a new game+ mode...

Yeah, I wondered the same. Not sure how it would be possibly to use those 40something swords.

whoooooooooooooo! An inventory patch!!!
Here is a list of other patch fixes.
A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.
A player stash for storing items, available in various locations throughout the game. Stash locations are marked on the player’s map.
Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.
Books are now placed in a dedicated tab in the Inventory and books that have already been read are properly grayed out.
Multiple sorting options are now available in the Inventory.
Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be “pinned”, meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel.
Dozens of fixes for quest related issues, both major and minor.
A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes and general gameplay.
Various improvements to horse behavior.

Books be grayed out would have been real nice. Can't count how many times I read things over and over and over and over because I wasn't sure if I read them before I sold them.
Stash is nice. finally have a place to stick all of those heads.

Damn, should have waited until now to play this game. Those updates are phenomenal

Mother of God
Those are the updates we needed.
They actually listened to us!
Two things:
1. I hope I can fast travel while on the horse.
2. I hate you for sending me to Kotaku.

As much as I despise Gawker media, I don't mind Kotaku all that much.

That update inspires me to do another play-through.

I kinda find Roach's mentally handicapped personality funny.

And here's the complete, holy-shite-massive changelog for patch 1.07.
The bitching starts on page 1 of the thread. Although, it is interesting that the horse stutter (while walking) has not been fixed. And CDPR seems to have completely avoided acknowledging it whatsoever.
Tried to post the full list here, but it exceeds the 7,900 character limit.

I read the changelog earlier.
Kind of surprised by the massive number of quest glitches.
Heck, I played for 150 hours and I didn't have any real quest glitches. Had plenty of computer lock ups and crash to desktop but I didn't have anything that kept me from starting or finishing a quest.

The big patch goes live sometime tomorrow.

So, if anyone wants a good way to level up fast to get better gear (Like the Wolf gear that they made you wait until you went back to Kaer Morhen before you could even start collecting it), go to the place of power on one of the main island coasts in Skellige in between some town and the whale bone marker and fight the cyclops, meditate, and do it again and again. It gives you somewhere between 40-50XP every time you kill him. Just in case anyone is tired of fricking side quests giving you 5 XP.
Also, what kind of runes do you guys run on your swords?
