Admittedly haven't been following too closely, but are there plans for ps4 to eventually be utilized for streaming media content? If sony didn't hate sports and realized a lot of Americans utilize the internet and watchespn app, this really wouldn't be an issue.
Bt, that's well beyond the still functional black and white, rabbit ears tube tv at the deer camp... I think an advanced piece of technology like that might makes few members non-renew on their leases if they saw a ps3 appear... You know maybe not a bad idea

I don't know. Some posters have said that they plan to address it with an update, but out of box or day one update, it can't.

Gotcha... Thanks eb. Might wait a few on the reviews before biting the bullet. My 2y/o has discovered amazon prime has every bob the builder and Thomas episode known to man, so it's really become a gloried pbs streamer in our home anyway...

I'm pretty sure you can still download apps like Netflix and Amazon on the PS4. You just can't play media from an external HD or thumb drive, or stream from your PC like the PS3.

I did see some of the apps are still available for ps4, including amazon prime and others... And oddly, a lot of excitement surrounding Indian flicks app on here I believe. Maybe if the Indians are that good, I'll spend the 400 down the road.

So Thursday we're getting a new PS4 title reveal on the all access PS4 show.
Going to get new gameplay of The Order and Infamous as well.
Rumors are maybe a new Sony Santa Monica IP, with the Battlestar Galactica guy that joined their team not too long ago. After GoW Ascension came out, they said that Dev team went to work on his game. Hmmm.

So good news is my best buy pre order is still in the system but these bastards have not even shipped it yet.
Even more crazy news is all the BX's over here on the bases in europe are not taking pre-orders and have said they will probably not get any in on the 15th and actually have no idea when they will get here or how many.
So glad i pre ordered, a guy in my unit already offered me 800 bucks for my PS4
