I wouldn't buy Knack, as great and cool as it looks to me, it's just a rental being single player only.

Knack will have 2 player (drop in/drop out) co-op play

Yes.

You don't have to upgrade, but things will look better as you'll be able to take advantage of that higher resolution.

Yeah I read about that the other day. Very cool that it will have co op and so easily available like in that cheesy video from a few months back.

But, as they announced earlier, it's still just 10 hours long, and for me, rental status.

It's probably my most anticipated game, too.

The answer is always yes.

However, what size? If its >40", then there will probably be a difference from 720 to 1080. It is not necessary, either way, but you just won't be taking full advantage of it.

PS4

It's a 42", if I buy a new one I will buy something around that same size

Size of the tv only matters in relation to distance from it.

I have a 1080p TV that I played a lot of BF3 on PS3. I noticed from the start that it was "liney" or jagged. That's because BF3 is in 720, right?

I don't know for fact but probably. Most current gen games are 720.

I guess what I'm asking is the game being in 720 and my 46" screen being in 1080 have anything to do with the jagged picture?

no it's the game. It's common and that's one of the big goals of next gen is to smooth out edges.

Is anyone actually going to use the playstation version of "iTunes" to buy music, so you can listen on your console?

Pretty lame that Sony would make you use their service, I like ripping CD's to my 360 and moving all my music from my computer to my 360 via USB. Listening to music really comes in handy when playing sports games or even fps when your friends aren't online

Hell no, and they said they are putting the media server function back on it, so I'll just use my laptop and stream music if I want to listen to music on it.

This and they will likely patch in the ability to transfer songs onto it. Same thing they did with the PS3.

They want to see if they can sucker new gaming system owners into purchasing the service first before giving up on that endeavor
