DL was before my time, but I watched that vid last night and I’ve seen some of his streams. If he is half the player he makes himself out to be, he is an absolute Smurf.
Multiple times in his career, his teams were on the verge of losing/elimination and they employed the "protect DL" strat to come back and win.
Colorful personality to talk some trash.
Mostly backed it up and his team would win, but then seemed to get an ego and was hard to work with. Get booted from team for culture issues.
He'd learn his lesson and play nice with new team for a while. Win. Rinse repeat.
Couldn't ever have success at Worlds. Sometimes his fault. Sometimes not.
Did do decent at MSI once or twice.

I’m late to the party, but it definitely looks like it’s dying in NA.
I know there are a ton of visa issues for orgs, but half the teams in lock-in look like they don’t give a frick and toss in their bottom rosters. I looked at the prize pool and I think the winning team gets 150k. Not gonna bank roll a team, but enough to try for. Hell forst place in RLCS over the week got 30k and they were all trying.

It's peaking like it does yearly right now and for the next month maybe two.
New season and it still pops off. Massive views again on twitch most watched game by a ton, lot of big streamers back on it hard again. Always happens for a bit.

Core almost had to retire from League. Thank god for TL and Dodo.

I'm at the LCS finals in Houston this weekend.
That Danny Baron steal and Penta kill was fricking electric. Got as loud as any game at Tiger Stadium I've ever been to. One of if not the most hype sports moment I've ever witnessed in person.

Surprise sweep by EG, it was a pretty fun series though as the first two games were very back and forth. Watching League with a big crowd is definitely a cool experience. I wasn't really rooting for one team or a other when I came here but EG is tough to root against. Hope the series tomorrow goes the full 5 games.
Just a note for anyone that goes to future LCS events, they have a fan experience that leads up to the games but it isn't worth showing up early for. 35000 people all crammed together in a small space only leads to ridiculously long lines for everything. The line to meet Tyler1 almost looped halfway around the stadium. Also they didn't let you sit in the stadium seats until the pregame show so for the first three hours there's nowhere to sit.
