Possibly a dumb question: I just got to the part where you meet the World Serpent. Afterwards, I'm paddling around in the boat and I want to explore all the shipwrecks and towers with runes on them, but I can't figure out how to leave the boat. Can you get out of the boat anywhere other than the dock at the temple structure, or is this an area you're meant to explore later after the water level changes again or something?

you can only park the boat at docks with flags on em. lots to explore before proceeding to the Foothills

I’m getting my arse WORKED by Valkyrie queen on fricking easy. I’ve only given it one more go since grinding for the dwarven armor in Niflheim but damn she’s an annoying bitch. That move when she jumps on you requires a reaction time of nano seconds to roll away from

I had good luck kicking them in there, stunning the shite out of them with light arrows then killing them. Also pulling them in with the blades worked well

I finished all the trials in Muspelheim but still need to kill the Valkyrie at the top of the mountain. When that is complete do more challenges pop up? I am waiting to kill all the Valkyries at once when I finish everything else up.

Yes. More trials after the Valkyrie. Some of the same ones as before just harder. You get keys for beating them. You only need 3 keys. You can skip the ones you don't like (no damage, kill in rings, etc.)

I went HAM on this game in the first week. Still need to gather a bunch of mist echos, beat sigrun, and gather collectibles.
I doubt I’ll get around to the collectibles but I’ll make an effort for the other stuff

I will most likely skip the green birds (Odin's Eyes) but the other things I will try knocking out as a go.

I just 100% the game other day.
Took me 2 and half hours to beat her. I got a little better each time. Just keep fighting her and you'll learn her attacks and proper timing to dodge. I played on normal. Use Aegir's Protection talisman even though you can only upgrade it to Level 6. It restores health within a small circle, this was pretty helpful for me. Also, I am able to get to Level 9 with it because of the sockets, as opposed to my Level 8 Talisman of the Realms. Good luck.

I never thought of upgrading Aegir's protection. Might have to look into that. Not at the queen yet.
What were your stats looking like by the end of the game? And your whole setup if you don't mind sharing. Just wanted to compare my Kratos to yours!

Axe and Blades were upgraded to the max.
Axe Pommel was Wing of the Fallen Level 8, Blade Pommel was Grips of the Valkyrie Level 8
Ivaldi's Epic "" of Deadly Mist Armor Set. Level 8. Health regen was key.
Aegir's Protection Level 6 Talisman
For sockets I stacked Heart of Svartalfheim and Polished Crest of "". Svartalfheim because of health regen and Polished because of health burst on successful parry. There's a Valkyrie's Bane Enchantment socket as well that reduces Valkyrie's attacks by 5%.
Stats are as follows:
Strength:232
Runic: 203
Defense: 214
Vitality: 74
Luck: 47
Cooldown: 51
Buy the rage resurrection stone too since you can get more health when you use your rage. Just make sure you use your first rage before you get resurrected or else it's a waste. Also, choose quick recharging light and heavy runic attacks so you can use it more often on her.

Awesome. When I get home I can check my stats out and see how I compare. I am at the last Valkyrie now before the queen. I have the deadly mist armor set as well (but not fully upgraded just yet).

I would definitely try to upgrade it before facing her. Just farm at Niflheim, I usually get around 8000-12000 mist echoes per session.
